Vanessa Ventura is a Human Factors Engineer at Joby Aviation, with a focus in flight deck development and urban air mobility operations. Her work is centered around flight deck design, working alongside operational and project test pilots, specifically targeting human aspects of the design. Using psychological methods and formal evaluations to study how pilots interact with the pilot console, she is able to use this understanding to support and implement features that better meet pilot, passenger, and ground crew needs. She received her Bachelors of Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz in Cognitive Science with an emphasis in Artificial Intelligence and Human-Computer Interaction.
