Cody Cleverly is the Workforce Development Lead at Joby Aviation and oversees Joby Aviation Academy, apprenticeships, learning technology, and training programs. Cody is a commercial pilot and flight instructor and leads a growing pilot training operation at Joby.

Prior to his current  role, he held several positions at JetBlue Airways where he developed and oversaw programs in talent, learning, and workforce development, and ultimately led JetBlue’s academic learning function. He continues to hold an advisory role at JetBlue.

An entrepreneur at heart, Cody co- founded KC Direct – an e-commerce business – and served as Operating Principal until joining Joby in 2021. Cody earned both an MBA and a M.S. in Human Resource Management from Utah State University’s Jon M. Huntsman School of Business.
