Hale, Britta
Professor Britta Hale is a cryptographer and faculty in the Computer Science Department at the Naval Postgraduate School. She holds a PhD from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and a Master’s of Science in the Mathematics of Cryptography and Communications from Royal Holloway, University of London. Prof. Hale specializes in cryptographic key exchange and authentication protocols, and has research spanning cryptographic self-healing from cyberattacks, post-quantum cryptography, UxS security and C-UxS, as well as security with AI. She is a member the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) working group on the design of the Messaging Layer Protocol (MLS), and has active collaborations across industry, international academia, and defense organizations.
