Mr. Dunning currently holds the position of Associate Vice President for Corporate Engagement and Innovation within the Division of Research, Economic Development, and Graduate Education at California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo. In this role Mr. Dunning is responsible for research and development engagements with industry and non-profit sectors, campus-wide intellectual property and commercialization, and high-tech economic development. Mr. Dunning is also responsible for the management and expansion of the Cal Poly Technology Park, a home on campus for technology-based businesses — particularly firms engaged in applied research and development. The park increases collaboration between Cal Poly and industry and enhances the ability of park tenants to draw from the expertise of Cal Poly faculty and students.

Mr. Dunning holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Studies for the University of California Santa Barbara, and a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana.
