Ryan is an aviation professional with nearly 20 years of experience in airport operations and airport planning and development. He has held positions at a range of airports including San José Mineta International Airport (SJC), Miami International Airport (MIA), Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB), and Morristown Municipal Airport (MMU), a general aviation airport in New Jersey.

In his current role as the Senior Planner at SJC, he leads the implementation of the Airport’s Capital Improvement Program, while incorporating emerging sectors of the aviation industry such as Advanced Air Mobility. Ryan has been closely tracking the evolving regulatory environment and key AAM industry players with the goal of positioning SJC as a key AAM gateway connecting the Bay Area with the Monterey Bay region and beyond.

His passion project at SJC includes launching an Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) program to be used for a range of opportunities including airfield and construction inspections, obstruction identification and analysis, and development of marketing content.
