Maturing UAS Pathways
The Maturing Regional AgTech and Aerospace Job Readiness Pathways program (MsUAS Pathways) is a two-year initiative designed to strengthen equitable, stackable workforce opportunities in drone-enabled agriculture and aerospace technology across the Monterey Bay region.
Building Pathways
In partnership with the University of California, Santa Cruz, MsUAS Pathways empowers communities through low-cost drone pilot training and licensing, including through instruction of educators. We aim to equip high school and community college educators with the skills needed to train future drone pilots in their schools and incorporate drones into existing classes.
In addition to “training-the-trainers,” we seek to create accessible entry points for youth and adults facing the greatest barriers to high-growth technical careers. MsUAS Pathways connects directly with communities through tailored presentations, workshops, and wraparound student support.
Veteran Support
Serving those that have served. Veterans face many barriers to civilian integration when leaving their service. As of 2019, 48% of the US veterans did not have a job lined up after leaving military service but were actively seeking one.
Translating military training and expertise to civilian skillsets and qualifications is critical for the 30,000 veterans who transition back into the civilian workforce each year in California. We provide Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard, and Veteran personnel with a clear, supportive pathway from military skills to FAA certifications.
Workforce Development
Training only works if it connects to real jobs. The program is building active relationships with employers across aerospace, agriculture, construction, public safety, and Advanced Air Mobility to ensure students move from training into a quality job.
