He joined the Private Equity-backed company in 2022 to grow their defense and aerospace business. Before that, he led the Navy Business Development efforts for 3M.
Ingar’s career started in the US Navy as a nuclear-trained submarine officer. In the defense industry, Ingar worked in missile defense for 10 years – at Raytheon – where he was a systems engineer on a Boeing contract and led a handful of early-stage R&D programs for the Missile Defense Agency. After leaving Raytheon to start his consulting business, Ingar was engaged by both large and small companies to develop business in the aerospace industry (among others).
Ingar earned a BS in Systems Engineering (BSSE) from the US Naval Academy, where he also played football. His large and accessible network was developed through his 3 decades of volunteer alumni leadership, including 20 years as Class President and two separate tours on the US Naval Academy Alumni Association Board of Trustees. Ingar also earned an MSSE and MBA from the University of Maryland.
Ingar lives with his wife and his son – a high school senior – in Annapolis, MD. His oldest daughter is an Air Force 2nd LT and a recent Maryland graduate. His other daughter is a Biomedical Engineering senior at Purdue. Ask Ingar about mountain biking and he’ll be your friend for life.
