Julie Edwards

Julie Edwards is Pajaro Valley Unified School District’s Director of Strategic Educational Options, expanding Career Technical Education and work-based learning opportunities for students. She is PVUSD’s point of contact for the aviation-focused Engineering Design pathway built with Monterey Bay DART and partners including Joby Aviation, the City of Watsonville, Watsonville Municipal Airport, EAA Chapter 119, and TangoFlight. Launched in fall 2025, students are assembling a flyable Van’s RV-12 at the airport while learning aircraft maintenance, safety, aeronautical engineering, and flight systems, accelerating progress toward FAA-aligned credentials. Edwards also advocates for equitable paid internships to enable students to support their families while gaining real workplace experience.
