Ray Adams is a seasoned expert in aviation and advanced air mobility with over 36 years of experience spanning the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the U.S. Navy, and leadership roles in the private sector. Since retiring from the Federal Aviation Administration where he served as an air traffic controller, he is the Founder and CEO of Trajectrix Corporation, a New Jersey-based startup enabling autonomous aircraft operations in the National Airspace System. As Principal of Airde Elevated Thinking, an engineering services company specializing in advanced aviation operations, Ray has been instrumental in supporting the FAA on initiatives such as Urban Air Mobility (UAM), flight autonomy research, and regulatory analysis supporting future flight rules. His career highlights include 20 years of ATC in the Newark Airport control tower, managing a FAA UAS Test Range, leading advanced air mobility concept development, and deploying impactful aviation technologies like FAA’s DataComm system. An advocate for policy innovation, Ray serves as an advisory board member for multiple aviation nonprofits and economic policy organizations.
