Walter Stockwell

Walter Stockwell is a technology leader specializing in advanced navigation systems, aviation safety, and autonomous systems. He currently serves as the Vice President of Software Engineering at Anello Photonics, where he leads software teams developing inertial navigation systems designed for GNSS-denied environments and embedded firmware for a next-generation silicon-based optical gyroscope.

With extensive experience in aviation and autonomous vehicle technology, Walter has held key leadership roles at WhiteFox Defense Technologies, Starsky Robotics, and DJI. His work has contributed to advancements in drone detection, autonomous trucking, and global UAS standards.

Walter holds a Ph.D. and B.A. in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley. His expertise in navigation technology, safety policy, and emerging aerospace standards makes him a key contributor to the development of advanced air mobility.
