Published On: July 3, 2025

The DART team extends heartfelt congratulations to the organizers, instructors, and participants of Drone Camp 2025, held this past week at the beautiful CSU Monterey Bay campus. With a full enrollment and an action-packed week of seminars and hands-on training, this year’s camp once again delivered an exceptional experience for professionals and enthusiasts seeking to expand their skills in drone mapping, data analysis, and best practices for UAS operations.

Since its inception, Drone Camp has become a leading resource for building UAS expertise in California and beyond. The program continues to attract a diverse cohort of learners and a world-class faculty of instructors who together advance safe, innovative, and impactful applications of drone technology across industries.

DART co-founders Josh Metz and Chris Bley were honored to return as guest presenters for the closing day session. They shared updates on Monterey Bay DART’s growing ecosystem of programs, partnerships, and workforce initiatives—highlighting how the Central Coast region is increasingly recognized as a hub for drone, automation, and robotics innovation. They also offered insights on broader trends in the UAS market and how emerging technologies are opening new opportunities for careers and economic growth.

We applaud the Drone Camp team for their dedication to creating a high-quality, inclusive learning environment and look forward to supporting future camps as they continue to inspire the next generation of UAS professionals.
